2006 MQHA Membership Benefits
Why Should YOU invest in an MQHA membership?
To be part of the official provincial affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and the Canadian Quarter Horse Association
To be be eligible to receive Year End Awards through competing at AQHA/MQHA-sanctioned breed shows
To participate in the MQHA's Recreational Riding Program, including logged mileage incentive awards
To receive reduced members' rates at riders skill development clinics co-ordinated by MQHA's Amateur Committee
To be eligible to advertise in the MQHA's annual breeders' directory
The MQHA has an affiliated Youth Association - the MQHYA - dedicated to youth 18 years of age and under
To stay in the loop about upcoming Manitoba Quarter Horse events and activities and issues affecting individual horse ownership
To have a voice in issues and affairs of the provincial Quarter Horse industry
To be eligible to provide input and vote on MQHA business and attend educational sessions at the MQHA's Annual General Meeting
To receive a complimentary annual subscription (8 issues) to Horse Country Magazine www.horsecountry.ca
To be eligible to attend MQHA Board of Directors' Meetings as a guest member
To access various MQHA suppliers' and sponsors' discount programs including tack stores, feed suppliers, and/or a subscription to Western Horse Review
To be eligible for free advertising space and/or reciprocal website links on the MQHA's website.*
Any MQHA member who wishes to place a classified ad to advertise on the MQHA website may submit any "for sale" or" wanted" items or if they wish to be included in the lists of "Breeders &/or Trainers" or "Members Website Links" should email the webmaster at marnie@horsescoops.com with the information and/or photos. This service is provided free of charge for our members. Sale items will be advertised for 2 months unless otherwise notified by the seller.
