"Stretch Limo" for AQHYA World Show Trip

AQHYA World Championship Show Trip Criteria

1. Trips to the Youth World Show taken by the MQHYA membership will be organized every two - three years, depending on member interest, unless there is desire between planned years.

2. All participants must be a resident of Manitoba, unless a multi-province trip is organized in advance where costs will be shared.

3. The participants must be a member of the MQHYA for at least two years, which may include the year of travel. They must also be current members of AQHYA, and Manitoba Horse Council.

4. All participants must take an active role in the MQHYA, by either attending meetings, clinics, trail rides, shows etc. as well as participate in all fund raisers that go towards raising money for the current trip planned. No fund raising - no trip. Final eligibility of participants is at the discretion of the MQHA Youth Advisor.

5.  Trips may include horses.  If horses are being taken, participants must follow the criteria as set out in the MQHYA Constitution.  Those members not taking horses will follow the criteria set out in this document.

6. Any participants under the age of 13 by January 1st of the year of travel must be accompanied by a parent at their own cost.

7. Selection is not a competition. There is no maximum or minimum number of participants, as money raised is shared equally between all youth attending. Any additional top up money required to attend will be the responsibility of the participants (ie. Spending, meals, entertainment and travel costs if not enough funds are raised to cover essential travel expenses).

8. At least one parent of the participant will be required at the planning meetings. Parents will also be required to sign a waiver form which is provided. Further details will follow the determination of trip participants.

9. Participants are representing Manitoba and therefore appropriate behavior is mandatory. If a problem should develop, the MQHA Youth Advisor has the authority to send the participant home early at the expense of their parents.

10. Chaperones and parents attending will attend at their own expense.
