The MQHA has an MQHA Scholarship Program for one annual $500 scholarship award to be used for university, college or other post-secondary education, to come from revenues generated at Annual Year End Awards banquets. Applicants must be 16 years of age by January 1, 2010 and have been an MQHA or MQHYA member for at least two years (current and previous years). An application form may be printed by clicking the "Quick Links" (above right) or requested from Kim Durnin (204) 824-2606 and must be submitted postmarked by January 31, 2012 (to be presented at the 2012 AGM during the first part of the New Year). Previous applicants/recipients are eligible to re-apply.
The 2005 MQHA Scholarship for the amount of $500 was awarded to member Karalyn Bridgeman, Binscarth, MB.
The 2006 MQHA Scholarship for the amount of $500 was awarded to member Baylee Gabrielle, Virden, MB.
The 2007 MQHA Scholarship for the amount of $500 was awarded to member Cassandra Lepp, Rivers, MB.
The 2008 MQHA Scholarship for the amount of $500 was awarded to member Lisa Bailey, Dugald, MB.
The 2009 MQHA Scholarship for the amount of $500 was awarded to Tamara Orr, Shilo, MB
The 2010 MQHA Scholarship for the amount of $500 was awarded to Elizabeth Priest, St. Pierre, MB.
